Emily grew up in Orleans Vermont, but spent a decade living in Los Angeles. She returned to the NEK and purchased the Craftsbury General Store in 2012. The sense of community is what brought her back and also what drives her career. Emily partnered with Kit Basom and Jana Smart, and the three now co-own The Genny Albany and The Genny Craftsbury. The trio also founded the Annual Craftsbury Block Party. Emily has been a member of the Craftsbury Planning Commission and was the Co-Chair of the Center for An Agricultural Economy Board. She lives in Greensboro with her partner Evan Karp and their two daughters Esmé and Madeline.
