We are a group of petrographers, chemists, and materials scientists that specialize in the analysis of historic North American masonry and concrete materials. Highbridge supports architects, conservators, and other masonry professionals engaged in repairs or restoration of historic buildings. Our services include mortar analysis in full accordance with ASTM C1324, and brick testing for basic classification through data determination for hygrothermal modeling. We also perform stone characterization and mechanical/durability evaluations for candidate replacement materials.

Lyssa Papazian holds an MS in Historic Preservation, meets the National Park Service’s qualification standards, and is on regional pre-qualified lists of historic preservation consultants. Her firm specializes in preservation planning, funding, regulation, documentation, and architectural history. She has been working professionally in the field for the past 30 years and has served municipal, non-profit, institutional, and private clients in VT and NH since 1998. She has listed 25 properties on the National Register; secured historic tax credits for 37 properties; stewarded dozens of projects through the state and federal regulatory process, and led community development projects using preservation for revitalization.

Mary Jo Llewellyn holds M.S. degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Vermont and has worked professionally in Vermont for over 30 years. Her work includes survey and inventory of historic resources, review of the impact of federal and state-funded projects on historic resources, Historic Structures Reports, Reinvestment Income Tax Credit applications, Photographic Documentations/Historic Resource Documentation Packages, National Register nominations, historic paint analysis and color consultation. She meets the National Park Service’s qualification standards and is included on several State of Vermont listings of pre-qualified historic preservation consultants.

Polly Seddon Allen Historic Preservation Consulting Services is a Vermont-based independent consulting practice specializing in architectural review services in support of cultural resource compliance and community historic preservation efforts. Senior Architectural Historian Polly S. Allen has two decades of experience in developing comprehensive historic contexts and historic site documentation, evaluative documents, and effects analysis in support of both Federal and State regulatory frameworks. The firm is committed to working with Vermont individuals, communities, and businesses in the stewardship, management, and celebration of the state's historic built environment resources and landscapes.
