The Preservation Trust of Vermont is pleased to announce the availability of funding for projects located in the Town of Poultney, VT and greater Rutland County. These funds, made available through a partnership with the Johnson Family Foundation, will be directed toward projects that include the use of historic properties and provision of services that meet essential humans needs in the areas of food security, childcare, health and community engagement.
If your 501c3 non-profit, municipal organization or church is located in an historic property (50 years or older, eligible for or listed on the state or national register) in Poultney or greater Rutland County, and provides services in the areas of food security, childcare, health or community engagement, we would like to hear from you.
1:1 Matching Grants ranging from $5,000 (min) – $10,000 (max) will be made to assist with the following activities: roof repair or replacement, structural repairs, window restoration or weatherization, and facade improvements (painting, clapboard repair, masonry repair.). All work must meet the Secretary of the Interior Standards for Rehabilitation. 70% of funds will go toward Poultney specific projects, 30% toward the greater Rutland County Region.
Funding for private properties is not eligible.
