Vikas joined the PTV board in 2023 with a background in cooperative development, employee ownership, and neighborhood organizing. He currently covers Vermont and New Hampshire for the Cooperative Fund of the Northeast, where he works with food co-ops, worker-owned businesses, housing co-ops, and others throughout both states. He is passionate about using the lens of historic preservation to build strong communities today. In 8th grade, he was the president of the Student Historic Preservation Team in his native Nashua, NH.
Vikas also serves on the Vermont Steering Committee of the Boston Federal Reserve’s Working Cities Challenge. He has previously served on the board (or as a founding member) of numerous cooperative projects in the Burlington area. He lives in the village center of Richmond with his wife, son, and extended household.
