Katie first crossed paths with Paul Bruhn and PTV in 2010 when she and members of her community non-profit worked to reopen the historic Guilford Country Store, the town’s treasured gathering place. In 2011, she proudly joined the PTV board and has served on it and PRH ever since.
Katie is a principal with M&S Development located in the heart of Brattleboro’s downtown; she leads the Project Development and Marketing & Business Development teams. M&S fulfills its mission of “empowering community revitalization” through the development of projects with social and economic benefits in economically distressed New England downtowns. Prior to joining M&S, Katie held such roles as Guilford’s first Town Administrator, the Director of Housing Development for Windham & Windsor Housing Trust and most recently she served as Commissioner for the State of Vermont Department of Housing & Community Development.
Katie serves on the boards of organizations that are closely tied to PTV’s mission. She is currently a board member for Vermont Housing Finance Agency (Chair), Downtown Brattleboro Alliance (Designated Downtown non-profit), and Friends of Algiers Village (Secretary).
Katie is passionate about not only her own community but the greater community that is Vermont. She lives in Guilford with her two children, her father and her frisky dog.
