Gretchen has been fortunate to make a career in Vermont of navigating the worlds of food and politics. She started her catering business in 1989 out of her home in Worcester, Vermont. In 1996 she joined Senator Leahy’s office, and worked there in a variety of capacities for 12 years, concluding her time there as a Field Representative focusing in issues including community and economic development, housing and historic preservation. During that time she was very privileged to work on the formation of the Village Revitalization Initiative. She returned to her catering business in 2007, which she and her husband, Greg, run today, with an emphasis on catering for good causes all over the state. In their free time, they travel extensively, with a particular fondness for UNESCO World Heritage sites in Latin America.
Gretchen served first on the PTV Board and now serves on the PRH Board.
