Park House, Rochester
The Park House property, on the corner of Route 100 and Park Row in Rochester, has long been a home of community life and activity. The site has been home to a tavern since the late 1780s, first as a colonial-era tavern, which was replaced by a large, Second Empire residence, which was replaced in 1916 after a fire destroyed much of the earlier building. The residence was converted into a country inn in the 1930s and, in 1991, was sold to Rochester Community Care Home for shared senior housing. Funds will support exterior repairs and repainting.
