Naulakha, Dummerston
The Naulakha Estate was built for Rudyard Kipling in 1892. It is one of only eighteen National Historic Landmarks in Vermont. Listed as an NHL in 1993, the property is significant for its association with Nobel Prize-winning author Rudyard Kipling. Naulakha is also an outstanding example of the American Shingle Style. The property is owned by Landmark Trust USA and is used for short-term rentals and place-based educational programs. Funds will support the replacement of the cedar shingle roof in-kind.
