Built in 1867 by the Methodist congregation, the East Monkton Church is the sole community building in the rural village. The East Monkton Church Association took over the building in 2007 and now operates the building as a community gathering place. Opened seasonally, the building hosts lectures, concerts, weddings, art shows, and yard sales. Funds would support exterior repairs and painting.
