East Monitor Barn, Richmond
The East Monitor Barn was constructed in 1901 and is one of two highly visible bank barns owned by the VYCC. The West Barn was restored in 2004 and is home to VYCC offices and programming. The VYCC just completed the stabilization phase of work, which was partially funded by a grant from the National Park Service. The group will tackle the exterior envelope, including wall framing, sheathing, and siding repairs. Funds will support slate roof repairs.
