Adams Grist Mill, Bellows Falls

The Adams Grist Mill, constructed in 1831 and expanded in 1875, was one of the first large-scale grist mills along the Connecticut River in Vermont. The Mill was successfully converted to electric power and the Adams’ family ran the Mill until the early1960s. The Mill, which still includes all the mill machinery, was acquired by the Bellows Falls Historical Society in 1965 and serves as a museum and educational space. Funds will support masonry work on the 1875 addition.
