Seven Stars Art Center, Sharon

Constructed in 1875, the building housed the Sharon Baptist Church for over 40 years before transferring to the Sharon Grange in 1909. The Grange occupied the building for nearly 60 years, installing the stage, scenery sets, and hardwood floors. The Grange disbanded in 1978 and the building was used for a garage and storage until 1994 when it was purchased by an independent school focused on addressing the widespread budget cuts to public school music education. The school evolved into the Seven Stars Arts Center, which officially took ownership of the building in 2015. Seven Stars offers a wide variety of cultural programming and classes, as well as performance space for public and private events. Funds will support site and drainage work.
