An Enduring Impact

Through our more than 20 year partnership with the Freeman Foundation, PTV has been able to grant more than $11 million to preservation projects in every county in the state of Vermont. These projects represent more than $140 million of total project costs.

How We Can Help

Through our partnership with the Freeman Foundation, Preservation Grants are available to non-profit organizations and municipalities for rehabilitating historic buildings in the Northeast Kingdom.

Eligibility

Eligible projects must have strong community support, as demonstrated by volunteer and fundraising efforts. Grants typically range from $25,000 to $45,000 and are offered once a year, typically in the spring.

Getting Started

Preservation Grants are usually awarded after ongoing work with the Preservation Trust. If you haven’t done so already, please contact our Preservation Field Staff to discuss your project.
