Visit the State of Vermont’s Downtown Program’s Website.

The State of Vermont has 24 designated downtowns.; these communities represent our larger population centers.

Each downtown has a non-profit organization that is responsible for downtown revitalization and works collaboratively with the municipality to preserve and revitalize historic downtowns and create strong communities.

The program utilizes the Main Street Four Point Approach®, a consensus building program that fosters community pride and encourages the growth of small businesses, employment and income opportunities, tax revenues, property values and general quality of life.
